Lauren Regan is a public interest attorney specializing in Federal and Oregon state criminal defense, environmental law, civil rights and constitutional law. She is also the founder and Senior Partner of the Justice Law Group, which was formerly known as the Law Offices of Lauren C. Regan. Prior to starting her own firm, she worked for the public interest firm of Bahr & Stotter, Eugene, Oregon.

Lauren is licensed to practice law in all Oregon state courts, U.S. Federal Courts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She has successfully litigated complex criminal and civil cases, and is experienced in a variety of trial work as well.

Her criminal law practice has successfully defended people by utilizing Motions to Dismiss based upon Speedy Trial grounds, by filing Motions to Suppress Evidence, and other constitutional defenses to name but a few. She specializes in handling high profile cases, and those involving individuals with mental health issues or other special needs. We also offer expungement services in order to “erase” your convictions if allowed by law.

Her civil practice includes representing Plaintiffs in civil rights cases such as actions against the police or government for violating constitutional rights, including excessive force and discrimination. She also represents individuals and organizations in environmental actions against government agencies to enforce environmental protections.

Lauren graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law and Suffolk Law School in 1996. Her undergraduate degrees are in psychology and political science.

Lauren is a member of the Oregon State Bar, and is an Oregon State Bar Fellow; Oregon Trial Lawyers Association; Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; Oregon Women Lawyers; Lane County Bar Association; National Police Accountability Project; Coalition to Abolish the Animal Enterprise Act; Cascadia Wildlands Project; Project Homeless Connect; and National Lawyers Guild. She is a Teen Court Judge, and mentors dozens of law students and new attorneys. She is also the founder and Executive Director of the Civil Liberties Defense Center.
